Locals Hannah Boyer (NSCF/FXC) and Tyson Flaharty (Goldstream Sports) used their familiarity with the newly upgraded competition trails at Birch Hill to post comfortable victories in the women's 5Km and men's 10Km, respectively on Saturday. 

I’m sure you have been wondering whether we would be able to organize the fourth event in the Flint Hills Resources Town Race Series, the Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks Classic, as planned (and then rescheduled) this weekend.

The ambient temperature is only 4 BELOW - so we WILL BE HAVING JR NORDICS TODAY from 2-3pm.

*** PLEASE NOTE - there is a windchill factor with gust 9-19mph that reaches 20 BELOW - so PLEASE if you decide to come to Jr Nordics - "extra bundle" up your little skiers - especially their faces!

Due to a forecast of continued cold weather, we will not be able to hold the third race in the Flint Hills Resources Town Race Series, the Woolly Rhino Open, this weekend, as planned and desired.

The 16th Annual Flint Hills Resources Town Race Series event scheduled for Saturday, January 14 has been postponed.

The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is pleased to announce that the sixteenth annual Flint Hills Resources Town Race Series continues with the Woolly Rhino Open, Saturday, January 14, at 11:00am at the Jim Whisenhant Ski Trails at Birch Hill Recreation Area.

Max Kaufman and Melissa Lewis were the winners in the second race in the Buetow Dental Distance Series presented by Raven Cross Country.

The second race in the 14th Annual Buetow Dental Distance Series, presented by Raven Cross Country and organized by the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is scheduled for Saturday, January 7.

The Eighth Annual Wells Fargo Ski Your Age In Kilometers, presented by Banner Health was a great success.
