Locals Hannah Boyer (NSCF/FXC) and Tyson Flaharty (Goldstream Sports) used their familiarity with the newly upgraded competition trails at Birch Hill to post comfortable victories in the women's 5Km and men's 10Km, respectively on Saturday.

At 9:35AM the Birch Hill web temperature is -6F/-21C.The temperature has come up 6 Fahreheit degrees since 5AM. Let's hope the trend continues. Still on scheule for a 2PM start.

*** PLEASE NOTE - there is a windchill factor with gust 9-19mph that reaches 20 BELOW - so PLEASE if you decide to come to Jr Nordics - "extra bundle" up your little skiers - especially their faces!

(NOTE: the ONLY classes held at UAF are on the two Saturday classes Advance Begging Skate and Intermediate Classic from 1-2pm)
