For only having 24 inches of snow all season it was not that bad. 
We will be working on a couple of trail upgrades this summer so watch of heavy equipment while you are out enjoying the trails.

Jim Whisenhant Ski Trails PDF Print E-mail

Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks members take pride in the beautifully groomed Jim Whisenhant Ski Trails at the Birch Hill Recreation area. Over 30 kilometers of ski trails are avaialble with over 8 kilometers of lighted loops. The Jim Whisenhant Trails are the primary venue for events hosted by the club. The Birch Hill Recreation Area is open to the public free of charge. Maintenance of this incredible trail system is supported by the Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation Department and the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks. Club members donations to the NSCF Trail Grooming Fund play a major role in allowing us to enjoy such outstanding ski trails. If you enjoy these trails and are not a member, please considering joining the NSCF and contributing to the Trail Grooming Fund.
