Position Description for Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks Club Administrator

The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks (NSCF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of cross country skiing. Throughout our six month ski season, we organize a variety of recreational and competitive activities for skiers of all ages, including group tours, youth programs, clinics, races, and tracksetting.  We are currently seeking a club administrator.

Duties

Duties of the position will include overseeing all of the club’s administrative activities, including:

            • being the day-to-day face of the organization for calls and inquiries

            • managing membership mailings and membership lists

            • managing race, youth program, and clinic enrollments

            • working as a liaison between NSCF and accountant

            • provide administrative support to Program Coordinator and programs

            • coordinating payroll, insurance, invoicing/receiving

• representing the club Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sundays during Junior Nordics

Desired Qualifications

experience managing a private or non-profit entity; excellent organizational and communication (written and spoken) skills; computer literacy (Excel, QuikBooks, word processing); ability to work productively as a team member and with a board of directors; experience with bookkeeping, website maintenance; proven grant-writing success; nordic skier.

Terms of Employment

Employee is an hourly, non-Exempt, part-time employee.  Pay range is $15-17 per hour depending on experience.  The position will require significantly more hours in the fall and winter and significantly less in the spring and summer.  The position will not require more than 40 hours per week at any time.  This position may be subject to a background check.
