The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is in need of a race director for the Turkey Day Relays, held annually on the day after Thanksgiving. There are three different races: a 3x1Km for grades K-4, a 3x2Km for grades 5-8, and a 3x4Km for high school and adult skiers.
All registration has been set up online. The trail crew takes care of grooming and course preparation. The NSCF’s chief of timing will be responsible for producing results. The main responsibilities of the race director are to recruit and organize the volunteers on race day, although there is some work to be done in the days prior to the race. The race director will be compensated for his/her work.
