More than a dozen people turned out for the Rosie Creek Ramble ski tour this year, including a third-timer and one mother with two children in a Burly. Pleasant temperatures and unexpectedly great trail conditions, thanks to grooming by Drew Harrington on behalf of the Alaska Skijor and Pulk Association / Tanana River Challenge. (You can help with grooming by donating to the skijor and pulk group or by volunteering for the Tanana River Challenge.)
Alaska State Division of Forestry has applied for a grant to improve and sign the road/trails in the area and add a trailhead off the Parks Highway. Logging isn’t expected back for about 30 years or so.
