If you’ve ever wanted to try biathlon or build your skills, Fairbanks Biathlon has an opportunity for you.

Fairbanks Biathlon, part of the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks, will be holding a six-week program at the Birch Hill Recreation Area biathlon range starting Sunday, September 12. The classes, which will be held on Sundays, are for youths ages 10 to 18. A beginner class is included for those with no experience.

All equipment, including rifles and ammunition, will be provided. The classes include safety instruction, shooting instruction, games and more. This is a shooting-focused program. Some games and activities may include a fitness component, but the focus will be on shooting accuracy.
