Update on this morning’s post. The part for the PistenBully can come only by truck from Reno. NWS forecast is not looking good for using the Sherpas with drags (they don’t do well on ice and don’t work on wet snow at all), but will give it a go in the morning.

The club is getting a new PistenBully. It was purchased from federal grant money through the Fairbanks Borough. A story about it will be in the final issue of the Alaska Nordic Skier, coming out sometime in May. Having two PistenBullys will allow the groomers to continue grooming in situations like these.
