We have been noticing a fair number of skiers have been using the trails backwards. Most of the trails ski in the counter-clockwise direction. If you are seeing the backs of trail signs, that’s a good indication that you are going the wrong way.
Sometimes, in order to set best line tracks on the downhills, we have to move the tracks to the center of the trail. If you are skiing backwards, then you end up skating or herringbone on the track, thus damaging the track. If that happens, someone coming down hill can lose control.
So, please be careful to ski in the right direction on the trails. Signs at the beginning of the trails tell you if you are going in the wrong direction.
