What: Mailboxes, Snowboard and Cross (NEW TOUR)
When: Saturday, 21 January 2023
Where: Meet at 10:30 AM at the Fox General Store parking lot. We carpool from there to the trailhead at ~Mi 4 on the Old Murphy Dome Rd. off the Elliott Highway.
Tour Description: Beginning to intermediate level skiing. 4-5 hrs out & back. Starts with traverse on the big fire line (most difficult descent on return; can be walked). Then level to pleasant, long descents on a groomed dogmusher’s trail through classic woods with occasional views out to the north and south. Intersect with the Pipeline where we shall reverse our course. We shall stop for lunch.
Temperature cut-off: No temperature cut-off.
Dogs: Canines welcome.
