The NSCF adult ski lessons program provides training to both new skiers and those seeking to improve their skills. Classes meet once per week. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced instruction in both skate and classic technique is available. No prior experience is necessary.
The third round of adult lessons in the 2018-2019 ski season will kick off in March:
If you have never skied before or are not comfortable on skis, it is recommended you start with an Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing class. Contact the Adult Lessons Coordinator to set up an Intro Lesson.
The Beginner and Intermediate lessons will last four weeks. All lessons meet once per week and are one hour in length. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early. When registering for a class, pay close attention to the start time and location as there are some variances between classes.

6:30pm Tuesday at Birch Hill: Starts March 19
6:30pm Wednesday at Birch Hill: Starts March 20
6:30pm Tuesdays at Birch Hill: Starts March 19
6:30pm Thursday at UAF: Starts March 21
- Intermediate (four weeks)
6:00pm Monday at UAF: Starts March 18
6:30pm Thursdays at UAF: Starts March 21
Beginning and Intermediate – $80 per class for NSCF Members / $120 for nonmembers
New to skiing? Don’t have gear? No problem! Thanks to a generous grant from REI, the ski club is offering a limited number of skis/boots/poles for use in Adult Lessons classes. You can sign up for them when you register.
