ConocoPhillips Interior Youth Festival

The Interior Youth Festival is all about young skiers. Throughout the ski season these skiers have many chances to race at other events such as the Flint Hills Town Race Series and the Besh Cup races. At the end of the season of hard training and racing they want to see what they can do against others of their ages. Older skiers have opportunities to show their stuff in a variety of races, such as the regional and state high school championships, Arctic Winter Games, and Junior Nationals. The younger guys want their chance to shine, too. That’s what the Interior Youth Festival is all about, where the oldest skiers are just 13 years old.

The events are free to all participants!

Come Celebrate Spring Skiing!

The ConocoPhillips Interior Youth Festival has a new format in 2018 featuring a two-week Wednesday evening spring ski series on March 21 and March 28. It’s a perfect way to get out and enjoy the late day March sun, fantastic ski conditions and fun for the whole family.

The first Wednesday event will be short course 100-meter sprints. The second Wednesday of the series will feature a fun course of twists, turns, jumps and if the weather is warm enough, some slush along a skicross course. There will be age class divisions for young and old, food and prizes on both nights. No race experience necessary, just a desire to have fun and smile in the spring sun!

Events start at 5:30 each Wednesday at the Birch Hill Recreation Area. Click here to Register, or go to Beaver Sports, Trax Outdoor Center, or Goldstream Sports to fill out a paper registration.
