Skiathon
The annual Skiathon is 20-kilometer race/tour that covers almost all the trails of the University of Alaska Fairbanks cross-country ski trail system. It is co-sponsored by NSCF and the University Trails Club. The race includes a wooden ski division. It’s the ideal race for anyone who enjoys classic-style skiing for longer distances on a laid-back March weekend.
The purpose of the event is to celebrate the university’s ski trails, as well as to raise money for the NSCF and the University Trails Club, which is dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the university’s trail system.
